How to measure for a custom cushion

Measuring for a standard cushion is easy. All you will need to do is measure the surface area of where you want your cushion to sit.

Start by measuring the length and width or depth of your seat. Make sure to measure in half inch increments. You may need to round up or down.

For example, if you measure the length to be 24 and 3/4, you will need to round up to 25 inches or round down to 24 and 1/2 inches.

If you have an old cushion that you want to replace, start by measuring the length and width of your cushion. Remember that old cushions can be misshaped and worn, so you may need to use a straight edge to get an accurate measurement. If you have an extremely misshaped cushion it may be best to measure the space rather than risk an inaccurate size cushion.

Remember, any odd shaped furniture or cushions will require a template.
